Jamun powder is made from the seeds of Syzygium cumini . It has carminative, anti-scorbutic and diuretic properties. Jambu seeds have been mentioned to be useful in "Prameha" as per Ayurvedic texts. It also has hypoglycemic, digestive and astringent properties.
